Multi-instrumentalist/producer/DJ, Riki Gooch was a founding member of the legendary Wellington group TrinityRoots. Nowadays, Riki is pursuing his solo career as Eru Dangerspiel and released his debut album 'Great News For The Modern Man', a dirty, bottom-heavy funk and psychedelic rhythm and blues affair, late last year.
"I'm interested in the idea of music being a community and I'm influenced by stalwarts of this idea such as Sun Ra, Eddie Gale and Parliament Funk-a-delic. I want to create an experience which resembles a large musical engine based on simple arrangements, improvisation and groove....the sum of all parts, enhanced by surreal visual and theatrical elements. But mostly I want to break down the barrier between artist and performer to give a sense of inclusion to both parties"
